NPL Europe 2019: Focus on Turkey

On 7-8 March 2019, our partners Yesim Bezen and Can Özilhan participated in the "NPL Europe 2019" conference launched in London by SmithNovak, a leading forum for NPL transactions in Europe. It was a great turnout of Europe’s leading originators, investors and advisors and an opportunity to hear about the latest global trends in the Non-Performing Loans market.

Hilmi Güvenal, CEO of Hayat Varlık, moderated a panel discussing the recent trends in NPL activity in Turkey where Yeşim Bezen participated as a speaker and shared legal insights on the state of the market. Partner Can Özilhan presented a legal snapshot of the Turkish NPL market, focusing on recent regulatory changes and their impact on the market, cross-border investment opportunities and alternative NPL management and deleveraging strategies.
